Özet

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate theself-efficacy and participation restrictions of individuals inthe Y and Z generations.Materials and Metods: Participation Scale was applied toevaluate the participation of individuals in the Y and Zgeneration included in the study. Self-efficacy ofindividuals in Generation Y was assessed with SelfEfficacy Scale, participants in Generation Z was assessedwith Secondary School Self-Efficacy Scale. 40 individualsfrom generation Y and Z were included in the study.Results: There was no statistically significant differencebetween the mean self-efficacy scores of individuals in theY and Z generations (p>0.05). There was a statisticallysignificant difference between the participationrestrictions in the Y and Z generations (p<0.05) Therelationship between self-efficacy and participationrestriction in generation Y and Z was found to bestatistically significant (p<0.001).Conclusion: Individuals in the Z generation tend toexperience more participation restriction due to themtaking part in the high school entrance exam, beingfinancially dependent on family for activities they want toparticipate in, and undergoing adolescent mood swings.Therefore, it is believed that planning and developingoccupational therapy interventions to increase theparticipation of individuals in this population will bebeneficial.Keywords: G
