Özet

In this paper, a series of 4-aminophenyl arylsulfonates (L1-3) and their Schiff bases (L4-6) were synthesized. [Ru(p-cymene)(L1-3)Cl-2] (K1-3), trans-[Pd(L4-6)(2)] (K4-6), and [Ru(p-cymene)(4-aminophenol)Cl-2] (K7) type transition metal complexes have been prepared from the reaction of the appropriate metal salt, L1-6 and 4-aminophenol. All compounds characterized with different techniques like C, H, N analysis, NMR, IR and UV-vis techniques. Solid-state structures of one Ru(II) complex (K1) and one Pd(II) complex (K6) have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The complexes K1-7 have been tested as catalysts for the catalytic oxidation of benzyl alcohol to bezaldehyde in the presence of periodic acid (H5IO6). The results show that Ru(II) complexes are more active catalysts than Pd(II) catalysts for this reaction under worked conditions. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
