Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, bir sağlık bilimleri fakültesinde uygulanan rehber ebe/hemşirelik uygulamasındaki rehber ebe/hemşirelerinin rehberlik uygulaması ile ilgili görüşlerini belirlemektir. Yöntem: Retrospektif olarak yapılan bu çalışma bir sağlık bilimleri fakültesinde 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında rehber ebe/hemşirelik uygulamasında görev alan 40 rehber ebe/hemşire ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, araştırmacılar tarafından literatüre göre hazırlanan veri toplama formu ile toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Rehber ebe/hemşirelerin yaş ortalaması 35,7±5,52 ve çalışma yılı 3.22±0.97 yıldır. Ebe ve hemşirelerin tamamının lisans mezunu ve %7,5’inin lisansüstü eğitim aldığı, %87,5’inin klinisyen hemşire olduğu belirlenmiştir. Rehber ebe/hemşirelerin %70’inin rehberlik eğitimi aldığı, %50’sinin bir dönemlik rehberlik yaptığı, %15’inin 4 ve üzeri dönemdir rehber ebe/hemşire olarak görevlendirildiği, %85’inin tekrar rehber ebe/hemşire olarak görevlendirilmek istediği belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Bu çalışmada rehberlerin tamamının öğrencileri korku, anksiyete, stres gibi durumlarda destek rollerinin farkında oldukları ve kendilerini rehberlik uygulamasında yeterli olduklarını düşünmektedirler. Ayrıca rehberlik uygulamasının, kendi mesleki gelişimlerine ve öğrenci gelişimine katkı sağladığını düşündükleri, tekrar rehberlik uygulamasında görev almayı istedikleri tespit edilmiştir.
Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of mentor midwives / nurses in a health sciences faculty about mentorship pra- ctice. Method: This retrospective study was carried out with 40 mentor midwives / nurses who took part in the mentor midwife / nursing pra- ctice in the 2017-2018 academic year in a health sciences faculty. The data were collected with a sociodemographic data collection form prepared by the researchers according to the literature. Results: The average age of the mentor midwives / nurses was 35.7 ± 5.52; the working year is 3.22 ± 0.97 years. It has been determi- ned that all of the midwives and nurses have undergraduate degrees and 7.5% received postgraduate education and 87.5% are clinician nurses. It was determined that 70% of the guide midwives / nur- ses received mentorship training, 50% provided mentorship for one term, 15% had been assigned as a mentor midwife / nurse for 4 or more terms, and 85% wanted to be employed as amentor midwife / nurse again. Conclusion: In this study, the students of all mentors thought that they were aware of their support roles in situations such as fear, anxiety, and stress, and that they were sufficient in counseling prac- tice. In addition, it was determined that they thought that the mentor application practice contributed to their own professional develop- ment and student development, and they wanted to take part in the mentor practice again.
