Bu çalışmanın amacı, turizm sektöründe 2011-2021 yılları arasında gerçekleşen iş kazalarını uluslararası kabul görmüş parametreler kullanarak analiz etmek ve gelecek 5 yıllık kaza tahminlerinde bulunmaktır. Çalışmada, sektördeki değişimlerin daha net görülebilmesi için SGK tarafından yayınlanan 11 yıllık veriler kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca, trend analizi ile 2022-2026 yıllarına yönelik kaza tahminleri yapılmıştır. Bu çalışma turizm literatüründe, Türkiye turizm sektöründeki iş kazalarını uluslararası parametreler kullanarak analiz eden ve geleceğe yönelik perspektifte bulunan ilk çalışmalardan biri olarak değerlendirilebilir. Gerçekleştirilen analizler sonucunda, Turizm sektöründeki kaza sıklık hızının diğer sektörlerden ve Türkiye geneli ortalamasından daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Turizm sektöründeki alt sektörlerde en fazla iş kazası ve ölümlü iş kazası 56 (yiyecek ve içecek hizmeti faaliyetleri) NACE koduna sahip işletmelerde meydana gelmiştir. Turizm sektörü içerisinde kaza sıklık hızının en yüksek olduğu alt faaliyet kolunun ise konaklama alt sektörü olduğu belirlenmiştir. Gerçekleştirilen trend analizi doğrultusunda gerekli önlemler alınmazsa önümüzdeki 5 yıl içinde turizm sektöründe gerçekleşen kaza sayısının %164 artışla yıllık ortalama 49.013’e, Türkiye genelindeki kaza sayısının ise %100 artışla 627.069’a ulaşacağı tahmin edilmektedir.
The aim of this study is to analyze the occupational accidents that occurred in the tourism sector between 2011 and 2021 using internationally accepted parameters and to make accident predictions for the next 5 years. In the study, 11 years of data published by SGK were used to see the changes in the sector more clearly. In addition, accident forecasts for the years 2022–2026 were made with trend analysis. This study can be considered one of the first studies in the tourism literature to analyze work accidents in the tourism sector in Turkey using international parameters and to have a perspective for the future. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the accident frequency rate in the tourism sector was higher than other sectors and the average of Turkey in general. In the sub-sectors of the tourism sector, the highest number of occupational accidents and fatal occupational accidents (food and beverage service activities) occurred in businesses with NACE codes. It has been determined that the sub-activity branch with the highest accident frequency rate in the tourism sector is the accommodation sub-sector. If the necessary measures are not taken in line with the trend analysis carried out, it is estimated that the number of accidents in the tourism sector will increase by 164% to 49,013 annually on average in the next 5 years, and the number of accidents in Turkey will increase by 100% to 627,069.
