The aim of this descriptive study is to determine the most common problems seen in theoretical lessons and practical applications of the vocational lessons of the nursing department students. The study is carried out in Samsun Higher School of Health with 138 students taking vocational lessons and their practical applications. Data of the study were collected by questionnare and statistically evaluated as percentage. Related to the results obtained from the study, the most important problems expressed by the students are found to be as follows; the theoretical lessons are given in a short period of time such as one month, the vocational lessons are given in three consecutive days of the week, lecturers, do not explain their expectations from the care plan prior to practices, practice marks are given according to the intermediate examination marks and students want consultation at patient bedside supervised by the instructor.
