Çalışmanın amacı, öğrenci görüşlerine göre, öğretmenlerin istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarını yönetme becerilerini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın çalışma grubu 2021-2022 öğretim yılında Kırklareli ili sınırları içinde bulunan Anadolu, Fen ve Meslekî Teknik Liselerde öğrenim gören 570 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri “Öğretmenlerin İstenmeyen Öğrenci Davranışlarını Yönetme Ölçeği” ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, frekans ve yüzdelikler, aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, t testi ve ANOVA işlemleri yapılmıştır. Öğrencilere göre, öğretmenler, istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarını yönetme becerilerini “ara sıra” ve “orta düzeyde” yerine getirmektedirler. Cinsiyet değişkenine göre, öğretmenlerin istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarını yönetme durumuna ilişkin öğrenci görüşleri arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır. Burada, erkeklerin algıladıkları öğretmenlerin istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarını yönetme becerisi, kızlarla yaklaşık aynı düzeydedir. Sınıf düzeyi değişkenine göre, öğretmenlerin istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarını yönetme becerisine ilişkin öğrenci görüşleri arasında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Lise türü değişkenine göre, öğretmenlerin istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarını yönetme becerisine ilişkin öğrenci görüşleri arasında, ölçek toplam ve istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarını yönetme alt boyutunda anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmamıştır. Ancak istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarına tepkide bulunma ve istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarını önleme alt boyutlarında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Araştırma sonucuna göre, öğretmenler istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarını yeterli düzeyde yönetemedikleri için öğretmenlere bu konuda çeşitli eğitim etkinlikleri düzenlenmelidir.
The research aims to find out teachers' skills to manage undesirable student behaviours according to student views. The survey model was used in the research. The study group of this research consists of 570 students studying at Anatolian, Science and Vocational Technical High Schools in the province of Kırklareli in the 2021-2022 academic year. The research data were collected with the "The Scale of Teachers' Management of Undesirable Student Behaviours". In the analysis of the data, frequencies and percentages, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t test and ANOVA analyzes were performed. According to the students, teachers perform the skills of managing undesirable student behaviours "occasionally" and "midlevel". In regard to the gender variable, there was no statistically significant difference between the students' views on managing undesirable student behaviours by the teachers. At this point, the ability of teachers to manage undesirable student behaviours perceived by boys is about the same level as girls. In accordance with the grade level variable, significant differences were found between the students' views on the ability of teachers to manage undesirable student behaviours. As regards the high school type variable, there were no significant differences between the students' views on the ability of teachers to manage undesirable student behaviours in the total scale and in the sub-dimension of managing undesirable student behaviours. However, significant differences were found in the sub-dimensions of reacting to undesirable student behaviours and preventing undesirable student behaviours. Under the research results, since teachers cannot manage undesirable student behaviours adequately, various educational activities should be organized for the teachers.
