Özet

Feminism, within the framework of women's consciousness, in the most general terms represents the efforts of women to be an individual. Despite these efforts being made for common problems such as equality, rights and freedom, intellectuals have varying experiences due to specific problems in their societies. This does not make it possible for islamist feminist discourse to be combined under Because of the reason mentioned, in this paper, not only a sample name from both of the two groups on behalf of Islamic feminist discourse and feminist commentaries of the Holy Qur'an is analyzed but also an example which attempts to find a compromise between tradition and modernity that is in a slightly more different line from the basic arguments of feminism is given. This paper is exclusively not aimed to determine and evaluate positive and negative aspects of "feminist commentaries of The Holy Qur'an". Because under those circumstances, it should have been necessary to mention the ongoing process about interpretations of feminist commentaries of The Holy Qur'an concerning every single issue about women and the criticism of these interpretations, rather than people and their general opinions. Consequently, aforementioned approach would have been beyond the scope of a paper. Although partly interpretations are given, basic objective is to present a general portray of feminist commentaries of The Holy Qur'an.
