Özet

High-dose drug intake is one of the most common attempts in suicide which is one of the first ten cause of death in many countries. There is an underlying psychiatric disorder in the majority of suicide attempts. Depressive disorder is seen most commonly in these patients. The identification of psychiatric disorders as well as personality disorders causing the suicidal attempt are extremely important. The intake of tricyclic antidepressant is a common reason of the admission to the emergency service.
